many-toothed gear corresponds to a many-threaded screw. Look at figure 10.
Count the teeth in the upper gear. There are 12. This gear, then, equals a
12-threaded screw. The lower gear has 36 teeth. It corresponds to a 36-
threaded screw.
Hence, the small gear makes 3 complete turns while the
large gear is making 1.
