MACHINE SHOP CALCULATION - OD1640 - LESSON 1/TASK 1
EXAMPLE
Add 20 2/3 + 13 1/2 + 7 1/8.
The LCD is 24.

Subtraction
a.
Finding the Difference.
In subtracting fractions, the difference
between two fractions is found by taking one away from the other.
Rule 1. To subtract one fraction from another, make sure the fractions have
a common denominator. If their denominators differ, reduce the fractions so
that they have an LCD. Then subtract the numerators.
