thread boss, which is larger on the conditioned air temperature
sensor, the conditioned air temperature sensor is identical to the
anti-ice temperature sensor.
Operation. The conditioned air temperature sensor operates
exactly as the anti-ice temperature sensor.
It sends a
varying resistive signal to the temperature controller in
relationship to the temperature in the duct.
Failure Mode. When the conditioned air temperature sensor
fails, the system then reacts as if the anti-icing failed:
(1) if the sensor fails open, the system goes full hot; (2)
if the sensor has a short, the system goes full cold.
