(g) The TOW will not fire if:
1 the TOW is below -13ƒ over the rear deck;
2 the driver's hatch cover or the cargo hatch cover are in the POP-
UP or OPEN position;
3 the vehicle is moving more than 3 miles per hour; and
4 the ISU is not in the higher power.
(h) The ISU allows day and night vision for aiming the TOW.
(4) Integrated Sight Unit.
(a) The night sight unit uses super-cooled circuits.
It must be on for
10 minutes before it is used.
(b) The day/night viewer moves with the weapons when the soldier is
sighting and aiming.
(c) The ISU unity window allows for the location of the target in the
(d) The gunner's and commander's eyepieces magnify the target.

enable both the gunner and the commander to see the same thing at the same time.
(e) The select switches on the ISU allow controlled day and night
viewing.
The select switches also allow aiming with the use of reticle displays.
(f) The reticle displays tell which weapon, range, and ammo have been
selected.
(g) The boresight controls and kits help the mechanic to boresight the
guns and TOW launcher.
(5) Turret Drive and Stabilization System.
(a) The turret can be moved 360 to the right or left.
(b) The travel lock allows the turret to be locked when not in use.
