Step 11.
Using an appropriate size wrench, remove lead 3W1E3 (7)(figure 21 on
the previous page) from transmitter 3A1MT3 (8) by removing the nut (9), lockwasher
(10), and washer (11) from transmitter 3A1MT3 (8). Do not discard the lockwasher.
Remove plug 3W1P6 (1) from switch 3A1S3 (2).
Step 12.
Remove lead 3W1E1 (3)(figure 22 on the following page) from the bracket
(4) by removing the locknut (5), screw (6), lead 3W1E1 (3), and lockwasher (7) from
the bracket.
Discard the lockwasher and locknut.
Remove plug 3W1P3 (8) from
transducer 3A2MT2 (9).
Step 13.
Remove plug 3W1P1 (10)(figure 23 on page 44) from jack 3W1J3 (11).
Remove plug 3W1P4 (1) from pickup 3A1MT5 (2).
Step 14.
Remove junction box 3W1 (3)(figure 24 on page 45) from the support (4)
by removing two locknuts (5), screws (6), and washers (7) from the support.
At
this point, the wiring harness 3W1 can be removed from the BFV power unit (engine).
Step 15.
Procure one new wiring harness, one electrical tiedown strap, and eight
self-locking nuts for installation onto the BFV.
Install the new wiring harness
3W1, the electrical tiedown strap, self-locking nuts, and washers that were removed
in the reverse order of removal.
