engine always uses an air cooling system. There is also a certain amount of
cooling as the fuel vaporizes in the intake manifolds and combustion chambers.
e.  Virtually all air­cooled engines use an oil cooler to help in the cooling
process. The oil cooler unit is usually located in the ducting so that it is
exposed to the forced air from the cooling fan. Its operation is the same as that
described in paragraph 3f of Lesson 2 Task 2 on page 73.

internal combustion engine. The information provided in this subcourse should give
the mechanic a general idea of the principles and operation of an internal
