BATTERY CABLE INSTALLATION
SEQUENCE.
NOTE
What follows is eight test procedures that should
be followed for every battery in the vehicle when
performing this test.
TEST PROCEDURES
Test each battery of a series pair, then proceed to batteries of the
next series.
To find the series pairs of batteries, find pairs in which the
negative terminal of one battery is connected by a cable to the
positive terminal of another battery. This makes the two batteries a
series pair.
For example, in figure 20, batteries A and B are a
series pair, and batteries C and D are also a series pair.
To test battery A or B, clamp the current probe around the cable connecting
battery A and battery B.
