Introduction
As a skill level three mechanic, it is your job to supervise the work
of those personnel in skill levels one and two.
In order to
supervise these soldiers, you must know how to do the jobs to which
they are assigned.
One of those jobs is to troubleshoot the
electrical system, including the glow plugs and the cold start
advance, on the M998 high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle
(HMMWV.)
The purpose of this lesson is to introduce you to the procedures used
to troubleshoot the electrical system on the HMMWV. Upon completion
of this lesson, you should be able to describe the procedures used to
effectively troubleshoot the vehicle's electrical system and also
know the proper procedures for completing DA Form 2404.
