Several different methods of securing a piston pin in the piston are used. Each method can be placed in one of
three different classifications. These are anchored or fixed, semifloating, and full-floating pins.

Fixed Pin. The fixed pin is attached firmly to the piston, and the connecting rod is free to swing on the pin.
