Be sure to tag plugs.
NOTE
Screws securing the gunner's box to the wall may be reached
more easily if the cables removed from the ISU are kept as
close to the wall as possible.
Step 3.
Remove the bracket with the turret position indicator assembly box from
the turret by removing two screws and washers from the bracket.  Remove plug 2W5P4
from jack 2A9J1 on the back of the box.

Removal of the Gunner's Slope Indicator.  Remove the slope indicator from
the bracket by removing three screws and the guard.
(4)
Removal of the Traverse Drive Motor.
Step 1.
Remove the rod end clevis from the brake release handle on the traverse
drive motor by removing the cotter pin, washer, and a pin.  Discard the cotter pin.
Step 2.
Remove plug 2W307P2 from jack 2A201J2 under the traverse drive motor.
Step 3.
Remove  the  motor  guard  from  the  motor
by
removing
four
screws,
lockwashers, and washers.  Discard the lockwashers.
NOTE
Step 4 should be performed only if the instruction plate is
worn or damaged.
Step 4.
Remove the instruction plate from the motor guard by removing four
screws, washers, nuts, lockwashers and retaining straps.  Discard the lockwashers.
Remove the instruction plate from the motor guard if worn or damaged, then discard
the plate.
