Procedural Steps for Removal of the Traverse Drive Gearbox.  Four preliminary
procedures must be completed before the traverse drive gearbox can be removed.
These procedures are described in subparagraphs 2b(1) through 2b(4) below.
(1)
Removal of the Gunner's Handstation.
Step 1.
Remove plug 2W302P1 from jack 2A205J1 behind the gunner's handstation.
CAUTION
Equipment may get damaged if screws are removed without
supporting the handstation.
Support the handstation before screws are removed.
Step 2.
Remove  the  gunner's  handstation  from  the  bracket
by
removing
four
locknuts, screws, and eight washers.  Discard the locknuts.
(2)
Removal of the Gunner's Turret Position Indicator.
Step 1.
Remove  the  defogger  switch  box  assembly.
These
procedures,
when
needed, can be found on page 5-103 of TM 9-2350-252-20-2-2.
Step 2.
Remove four plugs from four jacks on the integrated sight unit (ISU) as
follows:

2W103P3 from 2A1001J02
(b)
2W103P4 from 2A1001J03
(c)
2W101P1 from 2A1001J01
