Transmission maintenance procedures are contained in Chapter 4
of the TM. Refer also to the table of contents reproduced in
appendix B of this subcourse which clearly shows that the
procedures for disassembly, repair, and assembly of major
assemblies are contained in chapter 4, section IV, page 4-96.

Appendix B of the TM, Repair Parts and Special Tools List,
gives information about using the SMR code.

third position identifies who can install, replace, or use the
item; the fifth position gives disposition information about

mesh, spur, and planetary.
