d. Parking Brake.
The parking brakes on the A3 configuration
consists of a parking brake handle to lock the service brakes.
To
set the parking brake, the driver depresses the service brake pedal
to apply the service brakes.  Once he has applied the service brakes,
he pulls the hand brake lever up to lock the service brakes in the
applied  mode.
Figure  1-20  illustrates  the  location  of  the  A3
configuration hand brake lever.
In the A2 configuration, a hand
brake is incorporated in the steering/brake levers.  The driver pulls
the brake levers all the way to the rear to apply the service brakes;
he then depresses the buttons on each lever to lock the service
brakes in the applied position, thus serving as the parking brakes.
