PART D - RECOGNITION OF NEW DRIVER AND CREW COMPARTMENT
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
1.
General.
During this part of the subcourse, you will learn to recognize the
major differences between the driver and crew controls on the M113A2
and M113A3 vehicles.
2.
Driver's Instrument Panel.
The  driver's  instrument  panel  is  located  on  the  left,  slightly
forward of the driver.
There is no significant difference between
the  basic  driver's  instrument  panel  on  the  A2  and  A3  carrier
configurations.  The air box heater switch and the battery-generator
indicator  are  slightly  different  in  appearance,  but  only  in
appearance.  The most significant change is the addition of a warning
light panel to the A3 configuration basic instrument panel.
Figure
1-15  illustrates  the  added  warning  light  panel  and  explains  the
purpose of the added warning lights.
