PART B - GROUND HOP PROCEDURES
1.
Tools and Supplies.
Before you can start the actual powerpack ground hop procedures, you
must have the following tools and supplies on hand.
(You have the
majority of them on hand already, since you used them to remove the
powerpack from the tank.)
a. Tools.
You must have the following tools available at the
work site to ground hop the powerpack from the M1 Abrams tank.  (All
item numbers given refer to TM 9-2350-264-20-1 appendix E, which
gives a NSN and reference.)

General mechanic's tool kit; automotive (SC 5180-90-N26).

Chemical and oil protective gloves (item 74).

Deep style socket, 3/8 in. drive, 1/2 in. (item 194).

Deep style socket, 1/2 in. drive, 3/4 in. (item 186).

Rachet handle, 3/8 in. drive (item 88).

Torque wrench 0 - 200 inch pounds (item 246).

Torque wrench 0 - 175 foot pounds (item 245).

Wiring harness 3GH104-2 (item 23).
b. Supplies.
You must have the following supplies available at
the work site to ground hop the powerpack.  (All item numbers given,
except the two noted, refer to TM 9-2350-264-20-1 appendix C, which
gives a NSN and reference.)

Plastic sheet (item 74).

Pressure sensitive tape (item 101).

Protective caps and plugs (bulk).

Slip joint nut (appendix G, item 247).

Writing paper (68).

Writing pencil (item 70).
