In the following subparagraphs we
will discuss the location of components for each of the seven
models of the M977 FOV.

(a) Personnel Cab (A).
Provides protection from weather
for the crew and vehicle controls, gages, and indicators.
(b) Engine Compartment (B). The engine supplies-power to
move the vehicle and operate equipment and accessories.
(c) Ether Canister (C).
Contains ether for use as a cold
weather starting aid.
(d) Air Cleaner (D). Filters out dust and debris from the

Stores fuel used to operate the

Receives excess fuel not used by the engine's fuel

vehicle and transmits power to the hubs to turn the rear wheels.
