Propeller Shafts.
Troubleshooting the Malfunction:
PROPELLER SHAFT VIBRATION.
Step 1.
Check the propeller shaft  for any build up of foreign
material or damage which would interfere with operation.  Remove any
foreign  material  or  replace  the  propeller  shaft  following  the
procedures contained in paragraph(s) 6-2, page 6-2, or 6-4, page 6-6
of the TM.
Step 2.
Check the propeller shaft mounting.
The front propeller
shaft bearing strap capscrews should be tightened to 13 to 18 ft-lb.
The  rear  propeller  shaft  companion  flange  capscrews  should  be
tightened to 60 ft-lb.
The rear propeller shaft U-bolt nuts should
be tightened to 21 ft-lb.  Tighten any loose fasteners.
Step  3.
Check  the  U-joints  for  play  or  evidence  of
looseness.
Evidence  of  rust  indicates  U-joint  wear.
Attempt  to
move  the
propeller shaft ends in all directions to detect play or
looseness.
Replace any U-joint if play or looseness is detected.  The
