Instructions
Read the scenario and respond to the requirements that follow the
scenario.

Scenario
It's fire prevention month, and big "learn not to burn" posters are
springing up around the post.
It seems like a good opportunity to
pull a review of all vehicle fire related equipment, including the
Bradley fighting vehicle.
3.
Requirement
On  a  plain  sheet  of  paper,  answer  these  questions  about  the
components of the Bradley fighting vehicle fire suppression system
and the maintenance procedures as they apply to these components.
a.
How many pressurized halon 1301 cylinders are a part of the fire
suppression  system  and,  of  these,  how  many  protect  the  crew
compartment and how many protect the engine compartment?
b.
How many flame sensors are contained in the fire suppression
system?
c.
What is installed in the fire bottles when deactivating the fire
suppression system?
d.
When removing a flame sensor from the turret, how far must the
turret be manually traversed?
e.
If the fire suppression system has been discharged and a crew
compartment fire extinguisher bottle has been replaced, what must be
reset?
f.
Part of installing the outer crew compartment extinguisher is
positioning  the  extinguisher  in  the  bracket.
What  should  the
position of the valve be during this step?
g.
Briefly describe the location of the flame sensors and how they
operate to provide fire protection.
