(4) Controls and Indicators.  The fire suppression panel on the
driver's instrument panel contains a FIRE SUPPRESSION toggle switch
(figure 5) to place the system in the MANUAL or AUTO (automatic) mode
of operation.
The MANUAL indicator light goes on when the FIRE
SUPPRESSION  switch  is  moved  to  the  MANUAL  position.
The  DISCH
(discharged)  indicator  light  illuminates  during  and  after  the
automatic discharge of the fire suppression system.  Resetting of the
DISCH  indicator  is  accomplished  at  the  S2  toggle  switch  on  the
vehicle distribution box (figure 6 on the following page).

b. Engine Compartment Fire Suppression.
The engine compartment
is protected by a third pressurized halon 1301 fire bottle which is
located  at  the  driver's  station.
This  fire  bottle  can  only  be
discharged manually, either by pulling the external fire suppression
handle (figure 7 on page 8) to discharge the cylinder from outside
the vehicle, or by turning the engine compartment fire extinguisher
knob (figure 8 on page 9) located at the driver's station inside the
vehicle.
A fire extinguisher pressure gage indicates if the fire
extinguisher is fully charged.
